Ange's Fabulous Pie Party
In September 2008, my most excellent pal Ange had her "5.0 Upgrade." A bunch of her pals threw her a Surprise Pie Party. I think she was genuinely surprised (and moved).
As we all know, Ange is the Queen of Pie. Ange wrote the book on pie ("The Book of Pie"). She's the one who always shows up with a wonderful pie. So we all made pies for her this time, savory and sweet. There must have been at least 50 pies of every imaginable flavor. As I was baking my pies that day, it made me feel so good to think that many of Ange's other friends were also baking pies at that very moment.
All Hail the Queen of Pie! Happy Birthday, Miss Ange!
