Let's go fly a kite
Mom got a beautiful butterfly kite from Dad and Julia for Mother's Day. A few weeks later, on a gorgeous Saturday morning (June 3), we took it for a spin at the Berkeley marina.

Julia got the hang of it right away, and was quickly instructing mom and dad in the finer points of keeping a kite airborne ("No, you don't do it like that! Like this!")

She put us novices to shame.

Once Julia mastered kite-flying, she returned to her first love: picking flowers.
